The annual Naivasha Inter-School Sports Day brought together 18 schools from across Nakuru County, and Acacia Ridge School came home with a haul of medals and an overall second-place finish, the school’s best result in five years.

Our Under-14 girls’ volleyball team went unbeaten through the day, winning all four of their pool matches before claiming gold in the final. The boys’ 4×100m relay team also won gold, setting a new personal best in the process.

In football, our boys’ team fought hard to reach the semi-finals before losing narrowly on penalties to the eventual champions. The team’s performance drew praise from coaches at rival schools.

“I am so proud of how these students competed, with discipline, sportsmanship, and heart,” said PE teacher Mr. Omondi. “They represented Acacia Ridge perfectly.”

The school’s sports programme is open to all students from Grade 4 upwards. Training sessions are held three afternoons a week and are included in both day scholar and boarding programmes.
